AB InBev & Keurig Brew Up In-Home Beer and Cocktail Innovation
09 Jan 2017 --- Brewing giant Anheuser-Busch InBev is getting into the pioneering spirit by joining forces with beverage tech innovators and coffee connoisseurs Keurig Green Mountain Inc for a groundbreaking project that will eventually evolve into an in-home alcohol drink system.
The joint venture brings together the expertise of both companies and will use Keurig’s cold-system technology (KOLD) as a base for the new in-home innovation which will focus on beer, cocktails, spirits and mixers.
The partnership will focus on North America and operate from facilities in Massachusetts and Vermont.
“We’re thrilled to be moving forward with this joint venture and look forward to working closely with the Keurig Green Mountain team to explore the possibilities of what we can achieve together,” says Nathaniel Davis, CEO of the new venture. “We can’t wait to get started.”

The joint venture employees will come from the current AB InBev and Keurig teams and will be located in facilities in Massachusetts and Vermont.
Owned by an investment group led by JAB Holding , Keurig says its “a personal beverage system company revolutionizing the beverage experience” and has an extended family of more than 70 brands and 445 varieties of beverages. It was acquired by JAB Holdings and other investors in March 2016 for $13.9 billion.
Anheuser-Busch InBev is a publicly traded company based in Leuven, Belgium, and brews beer using premium quality natural ingredients. It has a diverse portfolio of more than 400 beer brands including Budweiser, Corona and Stella Artois.
