Spanish Flavor Manufacturer Scentium Strengthens Activity in Ghana
26 Jan 2017 --- In its ongoing engagement of offering proximity and reliability to its customer experience, Spanish flavor manufacturer Scentium is proud to announce the opening of a new facility in Ghana. Located in the capital of Accra, the new hub will initially accommodate a sales team as well as technical installations, providing a closer collaboration with the clients of the area.
“Our new office in Ghana is set to reinforce the long-term relation of the company with our clients from West Africa,” said José Manuel Mateos, General Manager of Scentium. “This announcement consolidates our commitment to local customers and to the ones from neighbouring countries.”
Speaking to FoodIngredientsFirst, Mateos said: “Through this expansion, our customers will of course benefit from a more dedicated service reinforced by the proximity of our local team. Scentium will be closer than ever to its clients from Western Africa.”
“The new facility will include an office for the sales team and all the necessary technical resources to assist, for example, any samples requested by our clients,” he adds.
How does the expansion fit with today’s consumers trends in flavors? “It is important for a flavor company to truely understand all particularities of a given market,” notes Mateos. “To do so, there isn't a better way than establishing yourself in this market and witness daily all the new trends and what customers really want. Trends are glocal: they emerge locally to later spread globally and as a flavor manufacturer, it is important for us to be at the origin.”
Scentium has always maintained a close relation with Western Africa. With an increasing number of inhabitants and a prosperous economy, it represents a key market for the company and a prominent player in its expansion plan.
