11 Mar 2010 --- Benco Pack SpA of Italy, have been chosen by Nestle China to supply an aseptic form-fill-seal machine for their new range of UHT milk cream mini portions.

Benco Pack custom designed a solution for the unique requirements of the customer which culminated in a fully aseptic packaging line that is highly automated and offers increased efficiency and ease of operation.

The Miniasepack/32/20 is considered one of the most cost competitive aseptic machines available globally and was chosen due to the excellent ROI and the high efficiency ( >95 %).

The horizontal aseptic machine uses a three step packaging and filling process. Containers are thermoformed starting from a roll of multi-layer plastic film (PS/EVO/PE or similar), filled with the UHT product, closed by a thermo sealed peel-able lid and then cut to the desired configuration. Nestle will produce UHT milk cream mini-portions of 10ml that are designed to be drunk with tea and coffee. The machine is capable of outputs of up to 36,000 cups / hour.

Due to the aseptic packaging technology, the cups do not need to be distributed via a cold chain.

The machine is pre-sterilized and maintained in sterile conditions by steam and hydrogen peroxide sprays. The packaging materials are sterilized and the process occurs inside a tunnel with an overpressure of sterile air.
